Distribution Center Specialist


Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to pull and ship orders, receive shipments, assist in inventory cycle counting. Technical scope includes knowledge of products, basic knowledge of distribution center operations, basic knowledge of computers and Windows based software.


Reports To: Distribution Center Supervisor


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pull orders

• Check orders

• Pack orders

• Sort and separate incoming merchandise

• Process packed orders through manifest system

• Assist in receiving and verifying shipments

• Assist in master packaging products

• Forklift operation

• Assist in restocking bins in distribution center

• Assist in inventory management

• Assist with inside sales as needed

• Maintain a neat and safe work area

• Duties as assigned and/or as needed according to company and daily priorities

Skill and Education Requirements: : High school education or equivalent is required. Warehouse experience is recommended. Must be able to operate and learn forklift operation. Must be able to handle packages up to 50+ pounds in weight. Computer experience is required.


Working Conditions: Mainly works in a heated and air-conditioned distribution center. Occasional overtime required.


Needed Attributes: Must be detail oriented, organized, productive, goal oriented, and able to perform a variety of tasks. Must be able to communicate effectively and perform simple calculations.
